Have you ever driven by a river and seen mist rolling in? I had that experience yesterday. I was coming home from Hobart in the late afternoon, and as I passed through Huonville (Tasmania, Australia) I saw mist on the river as I crossed the river bridge going south to Franklin.
On arriving home, I immediately grabbed my drone and land camera and headed down to the south of Franklin where I knew the mist was likely to sit. I was not disappointed. The locals call the river mist the ‘Jerry’. It literally sits on the river between the mountains and seems to flow with the river. It’s quite amazing.
I shot some video with my drone after taking these photos. The light was very low at that stage, but the footage was both interesting and had a luminous quality.
